Britt Snel
Britt graduated from the Dutch Film Academy in 2016 with GREETINGS FROM KROPSDAM, which was selected for more than 50 filmfestivals and won several awards.
After graduating, she wrote the screenplays for DÒST, KHATA and the short animation films HUMAN NATURE (TIFF 2019) and TOURIST TRAP. She also worked on two animation web series for NTR and the VPRO and the book adaptation of Jaap Robben’s award-winning book ZOMERVACHT, for which she was rewarded a Zilveren Krulstaart for best feature screenplay.
Her telefilm NUCLEAR BOY recently aired, and her second feature film IK ZAL ZIEN will be released in the near future, alongside her newest short animation film DOWN IN THE DUMPS. She is currently working on a preschool series and serveral other film projects.
Britt’s work shows an interesting dichotomy; on the one hand she likes to work on heavy character-driven dramas that take place on the edge of society, on the other hand she has a great passion for crazy and funny animation projects, albeit always with a socially critical undertone.
