Idriss Nabil (1995) began his career in film and television as an actor at the age of thirteen but later shifted his focus behind the camera. At the Netherlands Film Academy, where he studied fiction directing, he made various films and developed a passion for youth productions. His third-year film REVELINHO won multiple awards at international festivals and is available upon request via barbara@features.agency.

As the son of a Cameroonian father and a Dutch mother, Idriss brings to life a mosaic of colorful, diverse characters in his films. With young actors, he addresses serious themes in a playful and positive manner. He graduated with THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING (VPRO), available on NPO Start, with which he won the Dutch Film Fund Wildcard Fiction 2022.

In 2024, he wrote and directed the short film MOUSTACHE, which was nominated for a Golden Calf. Besides his work as a director and writer, he remains active as a (voice) actor. He is, among others, the voice of IKEA and was a regular in OOGAPPELS (ITV Studios Netherlands, directed by Will Koopman).
