Jeroen Scholten van Aschat
Screenwriter Jeroen Scholten van Aschat obtains a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Amsterdam. At the same time, he realizes that he much prefers telling his own stories than listening to the stories of others. In that same year, he is accepted into the Netherlands Film Academy for the Screenplay direction.
Jeroen collaborates on the third-year film NERO, directed by Max Lunter, and the graduation film ONNO DE ONWETENDE by Viktor van der Valk. The latter films receive recognition at national and international film festivals and are the Dutch submission for the Student Oscars. Following this, he completes a research internship on a film project directed by Shariff Korver.
His career takes off when he contributes to the television series FENIX. He writes both the film NOCTURNE and DE LIBI, both of which are nominated for Golden Calves. He receives one for DE LIBI in the category of Best Screenplay.
After that, the films FUTURE ME, CRYPTO BOY, FOREVER RICH, and I DON’T WANT TO DANCE followed.
