Sanna lives and works in Los Angeles. She began her career as an agent representing, among others, actors, and later co-founded the film production company Family Affair Films together with Floor Onrust, where they produced films such as NOTHING PERSONAL (directed by Urszula Antoniak).

After moving to Los Angeles, Sanna worked as a screenwriter and has since developed herself as a documentary director. Her first documentary, LIKE TEARS IN RAIN, explores the life of international actor Rutger Hauer. It premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival and will be broadcast by NTR on NPO. The documentary was produced by Scenery, known for productions such as Human Playground (Netflix), and won Best Documentary at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Sanna currently has several new documentaries in development.
